3. Be a helper.
4. Tell someone they matter.
5. Give more than you take.
6. Speak words of encouragement and hope (to yourself and others).

Our valiant efforts to contain the weather gods with the Sunny Dayz t-shirts was in vain. After an inch of rain on Saturday morning it surely didn't look promising for games to resume. We can't say thank you enough to the Sycamore Park District crew for their help in getting the fields back up and playable to get in 30 games in the afternoon and early evening. It was a tremendous effort by the entire crew.
Also, none of this can happen without the help of our parent volunteers. They all did a tremendous job maintaining the fields between games all weekend long! To those of you that went above and beyond, thank you!! We even had some "alumni" parents back lending a helping hand!!
Thank you also to the best umpiring crew in the state, the Windy City Umpires. Bob Williams and his Umpires hung around during the delays and are definitely some of the very best!!
Last, but not least, a huge thank you to Sabrina Hunley and Denver Davis for their roles as Tournament Directors. Sabrina's scheduling and communication are second to none! Thank you two for all your hours of commitment to the tournament!
We are looking forward to seeing all of you again next year at the 23rd Annual Storm Dayz Tournament which will be held June 23-25, 2023!!
