14U Head Coach Christine Sikon is announced.

Christine (Chris) Sikon, is married to Joe Sikon and they have three children; Morgan (25), Zachary (23), Makenna (19).  Her love for the game of softball and baseball started with cheering on the Chicago Cubs with her dad and Grandpa.  She played from the time she was 10 years old through a couple seasons of an adult summer league.   She has coached girls as young as 9 up to high school and on to an adult league team.  Her daughters have both played  the game from the time they were 8 years old.  She has been through the college recruiting process with her oldest daughter, Morgan, who played at University of Wisconsin-Parkside.  Her youngest daughter, Makenna, is finishing out her final travel season on my 18U KV Storm team.  She has 12 years of coaching experience which includes both head and assistant coach roles.   She has a deep passion for this game and believes to be successful as a coach, she needs to learn about each girls strengths to put her teams in the best position to win games.  From Coach Chris' "Softball, as well as other sports, teaches many life lessons. Bring a good attitude and your hustle and PLAY THE GAME!!"  We are excited to bring Coach Chris on to our staff!!  Coach Chris will announce her assistant coaches in the near future!

Kishwaukee Valley Storm

The Kishwaukee Valley Storm Softball Organization was started in 2001 with the goal of fundamentally improving the talents of our local softball players.  Our goals remain the same today.  With opportunities year round we continue to build confident, strong young women.

STORM DAYZ 2022

Storm Dayz 2022 is in the books! Thank you to all the teams and fans for attending our tournament again this year. The NAFA State Champions for 2022 are as follows:

10U- Stateline Fury

12U- Palatine Stingrays '09

14U- KAOS Fastpitch Kentucky

16U- CTW 14U BC

18U- Big Dogs

Our valiant efforts to contain the weather gods with the Sunny Dayz t-shirts was in vain. After an inch of rain on Saturday morning it surely didn't look promising for games to resume. We can't say thank you enough to the Sycamore Park District crew for their help in getting the fields back up and playable to get in 30 games in the afternoon and early evening. It was a tremendous effort by the entire crew.

Also, none of this can happen without the help of our parent volunteers. They all did a tremendous job maintaining the fields between games all weekend long! To those of you that went above and beyond, thank you!! We even had some "alumni" parents back lending a helping hand!!

Thank you also to the best umpiring crew in the state, the Windy City Umpires. Bob Williams and his Umpires hung around during the delays and are definitely some of the very best!!

Last, but not least, a huge thank you to Sabrina Hunley and Denver Davis for their roles as Tournament Directors. Sabrina's scheduling and communication are second to none! Thank you two for all your hours of commitment to the tournament!

We are looking forward to seeing all of you again next year at the 23rd Annual Storm Dayz Tournament which will be held June 23-25, 2023!!
